China's newly installed photovoltaic capacity keeps the world's leading position

At the Fifth China photovoltaic industry forum held a few days ago, Wang Bohua, vice president and Secretary General of China Photovoltaic Industry Association, disclosed that as of 2019, China's newly installed photovoltaic capacity, cumulative installed capacity, polysilicon production and module output have ranked first in the world for 7, 5, 9 and 13 consecutive years respectively, and the above records will continue to be maintained this year.

According to reports, in the first three quarters of this year, China's photovoltaic industry still maintained a steady and progressive development trend against the background of the impact of the epidemic and the sharp decline of Global trade. Among them, the output of polycrystalline silicon was about 290000 tons, with a year-on-year growth of 18.9%; the output of modules exceeded 80 GW, with a year-on-year growth of 6.7%; in terms of application market, the newly installed PV capacity in China was 18.7 GW, with a year-on-year increase of 17%, and the photovoltaic power generation capacity was 2005 billion kwh, with a year-on-year growth of 16.9%; in terms of photovoltaic product export, the export volume of photovoltaic modules in the first three quarters has exceeded that in the same period of last.
